According to the Miami Herald: James Hodge, a 41-year-old Fort Lauderdale man was arrested on Wednesday, October 5th for the rape of a woman on the lawn of a Middle River Drive apartment building. He is currently being held in the Broward Main Jail on 3 counts of sexual battery. This is not James Hodge’s first run-in with the law when it comes to rape and sexual battery. According to the Department of Corrections, when Hodge was 24, he admitted to and committed statutory rape with a 16-year-old. He was given a 12-year sentence, in which he served 8 years and nine months at the South Bay Correctional Institution from 2002 to 2011. Convicted Rapist, James Hodge, Arrested in Apartment Lawn Rape
