As also reported by the Miami Herald: At 3 pm on Monday, two priests were arrested for performing sex acts on each other while parked in their Volkswagen on Ocean Drive in South Beach Florida. Officers responded to a 911 call regarding the two men and promptly arrested Diego Berrio (39-years-old) and Edwin Giraldo-Cortez (30 years-old). The charges they were arrested with were indecent exposure (Berrio) and lewd and lascivious behavior (Giraldo-Cortez). According to the arrest report:“I parked my vehicle and approached the passenger side of the vehicle on foot. I observed defendant Berrio in the passenger seat, performing oral sex on the defendant Giraldo who was seated in the driver’s seat. Giraldo’s pants were unzipped and his genitals exposed. This act was occurring in full view of the public passing by on Ocean Drive and the sidewalk.” – South Beach Police Officer
While these men were arrested in South Beach Florida, both men listed their occupation as “priest” and their permanent address as the Mission of San Juan Diego in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Both are currently being held in jail on bond ($250 for Berrio and $1500 for Giraldo-Cortez).
