As reported by both the Miami Herald and the Lauderhill Police Department: a teen girl’s stepfather (Avo Roker) was arrested on Saturday for sexually assaulting his 13-year-old step-daughter for over a year. Pastor Ricardo Strachan was also arrested Saturday for sexually assaulting and molesting the same girl, but with the caveat of threatening to perform voodoo rituals on the victim’s family if she did not cooperate with his dastardly designs.The Lauderdale police have reported that Roker had sex with his stepdaughter more than 65 times from December 2015 to December 2016. He was charged with three counts of sexual assault by a person with authority on a victim between 12 and 18.According to the police report, the pastor had sex with the victim more than 36 times in the parking lot of a local high school and at a local motel. He supposedly did this between January and December of 2016. The pastor was also accused of forcing the victim to steal clothes and personal items from her family. These items were allegedly for the voodoo rituals that he used as a threat to keep the victim quiet. Strachan was charged with one count of lewd and lascivious battery on a minor between 12 and 16-years-old.The girl’s stepfather (Avo Roker) is being held on no bond, while the pastor (Ricardo Strachan) is behind bars on a $100,000 bond.
